Altea on Costa Blanca

Guadalest mountain village

the costa blanca

The Costa Blanca is one of Spain's great tourism destination running from Denia in the north to Torrevieja in the south. It includes the very well know resort of Benidorm in the south.

However, the quieter northern coast offers the more select resorts of Denia, Altea, Calpe and Jávea. Each coastal town has something different to offer and are interesting places to spend some time exploring.

View of mountains

Further inland there are many small villages, often with elaborate churches and some with bodegas where you will no doubt end up purchasing some of their wine! These villages are easily explored by road, taking in the scenery of olive groves, citrus trees and vines.

Most famous is the mountain top village of Guadalest - now something of a tourist attraction but still very much worth a visit.
